Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data www.techtoolslist.com (the "Site") collects and what we do with it. We keep this to a minimum: you can browse the whole Site without giving us anything.
What we collect
- Contact form. If you message us we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional) and the content of your message.
- Analytics. Standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, referring site) collected through Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics.
- Technical data. Your IP address and request details, used by our hosting and anti-spam providers to serve the Site and block abuse.
We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising profiles on it.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry (our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request), to keep the Site secure and working, and to understand in aggregate how the Site is used.
Who processes it
We use third-party providers who process data on our behalf: Google (Firebase / Google Cloud, Tag Manager, Analytics), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (Turnstile anti-spam) and Amazon Web Services (email delivery). Each has its own privacy policy. We do not otherwise share your data, except where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages are emailed to us and stored in our database. We keep them for as long as they are useful for handling your enquiry and our records. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Your rights
Under UK/EU data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct, delete or stop using it, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us and we will action it. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Other sites
The Site links to third-party websites and lists third-party companies. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or for what they do with any data you give them.
Children
The Site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the version published here is the current one. To ask anything about it, or to exercise your rights, contact us. See also our Cookie Policy.
